Anatomy Scan
Wow it's been so long since I updated. I guess I wasn't in the mood for sharing. I was scared. Scared to spread the news, to be happy, to accept the fact that it worked and let myself relax. Today we had our anatomy scan which is a huge milestone in this pregnancy. Every time we got a good result (on the NT scan, the blood work, the genetic screening) I was afraid to be too happy and an inner voice kept whispering "wait for the anatomy scan". Well it's done and done good. The baby is doing great.
I knew why I picked a pink theme for my blog. It's a girl and although we know this fact from week 12 , today it was confirmed. So now I can continue on with more confidence. It's so hard to accept happiness and good things after 2 years of disappointments and total despair. I have faith now, our family is growing and soon we will be 4!!! My Little one is a thumb sucker just like her big sister. They look alike in the US and I feel so weird about having another girl to love. I was told that moms has an endless love for all their children but I am still not grasping the concept of loving two the same way. I am sure It will all be figured out once she arrives. My point is that just like with the first pregnancy, the second one is full of thoughts about change. My world is definitely going to change. I feel less stressed about getting ready since I already know how to raise a baby, to breastfeed, I know which stroller and car seat I want and we have clothes, sheets, crib and mattress, toys, play mat, swing and bouncer and more so we don't have much to buy and prepare except for diapers and a few little things. The biggest change will be to have two and to watch how the dynamics will change in our house. I hope Leah will be a great sister. I can't wait to watch the two of them play together!!!!
